Saddleback pastor to pray at Obama inauguration

WASHINGTON (AP) _ The Rev. Rick Warren has been selected to pray at President-elect Barack Obama’s Inauguration next month.
The Rev. Joseph Lowery, a veteran civil rights leader, also will take part in the Jan. 20 ceremony on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. As many as four million visitors are expected to flock to Washington to see Obama take the noontime oath from Chief Justice John Roberts.
Obama has visited Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in Southern California twice, for World AIDS Day in Dec. 2006 and for a candidates’ forum with GOP presidential candidate John McCain this past August.
