UNDATED(ChristianPost) – Steven Curtis Chapman is dealing with two difficult milestones. This week would have been Maria Sue Chapman’s 6th birthday. And May 21st is the one year anniversary of her tragic death in an accident.

It’s been a hard year for the Chapman family…only three months ago were they able to draw “sweet memories” and not tears when looking at photos of Maria Sue.
Maria’s mother Mary Beth says, “Our family isn’t the same without her…and we are sad…Please pray for us, but also pray for all families who have suffered loss, that Christ will meet them somewhere in their grief journey and they will encounter Him…and don’t forget to hug your little ones tighter”.

Steven Curtis’ manager says, “For reasons only Our Mighty God can understand, Maria is spending her birthday with Him instead of us… But through the sorrow…A Faithful God has held the Chapman family this year”.

The Chapmans have also had joy in their lives this past year. Two sons have graduated, a daughter got married, a son got married and Steven Curtis got “Artist of the Year” at the Dove Awards in Nashville.
