Churches to pay parking tickets to demonstrate grace

BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Churches in and around Boise, Idaho, are offering to pay people’s parking tickets to show how easy it is to receive God’s grace and forgiveness.
On Dec. 12, church members plan to gather in front of Boise City Hall and offer to pay off up to $10,000 dollars in delinquent parking tickets.
They’re calling it the Grace Gift Parable.
The pastor of Boise Valley Christian Communion, the Rev. Montie Ralstin, says the giveaway is meant to help people understand that even though they’ve made mistakes, forgiveness is available.
